About Ryan

Ryan is currently based out of Chicago and is an active teacher of musical theater and classical vocal techniques. They maintain an active private studio, teaching a multitude of styles. In addition to their private studio, Ryan teaches for Art Smart, a non-profit founded by opera singers Michael Fabiano and John Viscardi. As part of this program, Ryan oversees a studio of high school voice students at a local Chicago school.

 

Prior to moving to Chicago, Ryan maintained a studio at Temple University teaching voice lessons to B.F.A. Musical Theater students. Their students saw marked growth and success, going on to perform featured and leading roles at Temple University. In addition to their success in school, Ryan’s students have been seen with regional companies like the Maples Repertory Theater and the Hershey Theater. A former student of theirs was a recent recipient of the Lotte Lenya Competition’s Emerging Artist Award.

 

Ryan Daly has trained in voice with Allan Glassman, Dr. Stephen King, Dr. Marcus DeLoach, and Dr. Rick Piersall; in acting with Anthony Laciura, Brandon McShaffrey, and Edward Berkeley; and has coached with Kenneth Merrill, Valéry Ryvkin, Luke Housner, and Hal France. They hold a B.M. from Abilene Christian University and an M.M. from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. Additionally, Ryan is an alumnus of the Aspen Music Festival, Miami Music Festival, and Utah Vocal Arts Academy.
